2 Ways to Get Vietnam Visa for Chinese

At the moment, all Chinese passport holders must have a valid visa for Vietnam regardless of length of their stay and purpose of their visit in the country. There are, thanks to policy to welcome more Chinese to the country of the Vietnam Government, 2 ways available to obtain a Vietnam visa for Chinese as follows:

1 – Getting a visa at Vietnamese embassy

The process of getting a business visa or a tourist visa is generally the same. Most tourists get their visa through a Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate office in their country of residence or in their travels country before entering Vietnam.

The form and the fee can vary by country, so please check directly the Vietnamese embassy or consulate to which you are applying.

General documents to be provided for applying visa via embassy include:

• Original passport;
• Hardcopy of completed application form (downloaded at website of the embassy);
• Visa fee;

2 – Getting a Visa on arrival

Another option to obtain a visa is to apply for an approval letter online to pick up the visa at Vietnam airport. With this option, you do not need to provide any document during application at all.

However, this option is for Chinese flying to Vietnam from a place outside the China mainland as the Chinese airlines do not allow the Chinese passport holders to get on board with visa approval letter.
