PM ratifies visa exemption agreement with UAE

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dzung has just ratified the visa exemption agreement signed between the governments of Vietnam and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Under the agreement, the two countries’ citizens who hold diplomatic, official or special passports are free from entry visa requirements.

PM Dzung assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete diplomatic procedures for ratification and publication of the agreement.

UAE’s investment in Vietnam mainly focuses on industries, infrastructure development, services, recycled energy, seaport and airport construction, and human resource development, according to local sources.

Currently, over 20,000 Vietnamese people are working in the UAE.
