1. Apply a Vietnam visa for Australian in Vietnam Embassy
For this type of application, applicants will have to come to the nearest Embassy to complete the procedures. 2. Applying for Vietnam visa on arrival
If you want to enjoy its convenience, simplicity, fast processing and time saving, it is good to know that Australian passport holders can apply visa online in Australia. Australians who take a flight to Vietnam are allowed to use visa on arrival to enter Vietnam through any of 5 international airports in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City. All we have to do is to experience 3 simple actions including summit application online, get approval letter via email and get full visa stamped at Vietnam arrival airports.
Firstly, get access to https://booking.vietnam-visa.com/step1.html, and fulfill the application including minimum required information such as full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, date of arrival and type of visa.
After around working 2 days if applying for tourist visa, normal service, the visa approval letter will be sent back via email. Then applicants will be guide to print out the letter together with the attached Vietnamese visa application form (formerly known as Entry and Exit Form).

Normally, this process takes you 3 working days. But in case their application is refused, no refund shall be made.
Big notes for this type of visa are that:
- it is for those traveling to Vietnam for leisure only;
- it is valid for 30 days at maximum; and
- it is for single entry only.
